The Kamba People

The Kamba, or Akamba (also referred to as Wakamba), are a Bantu ethnic group primarily residing in a region of Kenya that stretches from Nairobi to Tsavo and extends north to Embu, within what was formerly known as the Eastern Province. This area, known as Ukambani, encompasses Makueni, Kitui, and Machakos counties. The Kamba also represent the second-largest ethnic group in eight counties, including Nairobi and Mombasa.
